Tunnels

Our mastery of the underground world, in particular of underground mines and quarries known for their high level of requirements, as well as of underground public works, enables us to accompany you through the different phases of your tunneling projects, whether by traditional digging methods or by using a tunnel boring machine.

We intervene at the preliminary design stage to determine the ventilation budget, as well as the means of evacuation and personnel withdrawal, right up to the execution, manufacturing and installation phases of the systems on your site.

Safety equipment for TBM

Experience of tunnel excavation has repeatedly shown the need for pressurised rescue chambers as close as possible to the means of excavation and throughout the tunnel to ensure the withdrawal of personnel in the event of a disaster.

In some cases, this refuge can be integrated directly on the tunnel boring machine by adapting the architecture of the refuge.

Tunnel rescue chambers have the particularity of having a design adapted to the limited space available.

SUB’ROCA offers a complete range of refuges adapted to the technical and economic constraints of underground works. These refuges increase the chances of survival of the personnel.

With its state-of-the-art technology, the emergency refuge maintains optimal air quality and a pressurized atmosphere over a period of a few hours to a few days (up to 36 hours and more).

SUB’ROCA designs ventilation systems to evacuate gases and dust in order to guarantee the health and safety of personnel and to increase the productivity of your digging work.

Our ventilation systems can be natively connected to the site’s safety supervisions. This intelligent ventilation includes control equipment for predictive maintenance.

Our teams will ensure that your equipment is able to adapt to the phasing of your site.
