Manufacturer of safety equipment for mines, tunnels, and underground construction sites
A specialist in underground environments, Sub’roca designs, supplies, and commissions your refuge chamber, enzymatic sanitation, and ventilation solutions.
Comprehensive
Safety Solutions
From design to commissioning, Sub’roca offers a complete range of CE-certified equipment for underground work and confined spaces. Our products : Shelt’Air emergency shelters, ventilation systems, and Bio’Loo restroom units, are specially designed to meet the demands of mining environments, civil engineering tunnels, and microtunneling sites.

Shelt’air refuge chamber
Sub’roca develops Shelt’air emergency refuge chambers to protect personnel in mines, underground galleries, tunnels, and TBM applications. Tailored to the specific requirements of each project, they provide up to 72 hours of autonomy within an optimized footprint. AirGuardian® technology centralizes and automates the management of the refuge’s essential functions, providing occupants with an intuitive and controlled experience, even in critical situations. Available for sale or rental.

Bio’Loo Enzymatic Toilets
The Bio’Loo is the only industrial enzymatic toilet designed specifically for mines, tunnels, and underground construction sites. Thanks to its 100% biodegradable Sub’Zyme enzymatic solution, it operates for up to 12 months or more without needing to be emptied, without harsh chemicals, and without odors. Available in Single or Dual versions, it meets regulatory hygiene requirements for underground environments.

Underground Ventilation Systems
Sub’Roca provides custom ventilation solutions for mines and quarries, tunnels, and underground public works projects. Our axial fans ensure air exchange, VOC dilution, and compliance with Occupational Exposure Limit Values (OELs). Our in-house engineering department designs and optimizes each system according to your site-specific requirements.

Shelt’air Range
Given the risks frequently encountered in underground environments, such as fires, explosions, and the release of smoke and other toxic gases, a high level of safety planning must be implemented.
Emergency shelters, also known as survival cabins or emergency chambers, are devices designed to increase personnel’s chances of survival in the event of an emergency in an underground environment. They provide a safe zone where personnel can gather while awaiting rescue.
Drawing on expertise recognized by leading players in the underground mining industry, SUB’ROCA has developed several lines of emergency shelters and rescue systems to meet the needs of all your projects.

Safety: A Personal Matter
“
As the son and grandson of miners from the Lorraine coal mines, I grew up surrounded by stories of mines and tunnels. From the age of 13, I was able to accompany my father on construction sites, including the Marseille tramway project (2003), where I helped him handle measuring equipment and record results in a field notebook.
Since joining the Young Volunteer Firefighters at the age of 11, through to becoming a Volunteer Officer with responsibilities at a fire and rescue station in Moselle, I have always been committed to serving others.
